{"id":27863,"date":"2026-04-08T12:59:51","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T11:59:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/insider.thewholesalegroup.co.uk\/?post_type=recipe&#038;p=27863"},"modified":"2026-04-08T13:03:34","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T12:03:34","slug":"chocolate-crepe-cake-with-philadelphia-and-oreo-crumb","status":"publish","type":"recipe","link":"https:\/\/insider.thewholesalegroup.co.uk\/recipe\/chocolate-crepe-cake-with-philadelphia-and-oreo-crumb\/","title":{"rendered":"Chocolate Crepe Cake with Philadelphia\u00ae and OREO\u00ae Crumb"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Serves: 12<br>Time: 1 hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>240 g milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 whole eggs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>170 g cold water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>185 g flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 g Cadbury\u00ae Bournville cocoa powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 tsp granulated sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>0.25 tsp salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 g salted melted butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>250 g Philadelphia Original Soft Cream Cheese<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>115 g unsalted softened butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>240 g powdered sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp pure vanilla extract<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>120 g OREO Crumb<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add the eggs, water, milk, flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and vanilla to a blender and process until smooth. Add the butter and blend again for a few seconds. Let the batter rest for 15 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preheat crepe pan. Pour \u2153 cup of batter into pan and swirl. Cook for about 1 minute on medium heat until the surface of the crepe looks dry, then flip and cook for another 15-30 seconds, then transfer to a plate. Repeat with remaining batter, stacking the crepes on top of each other.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle or whisk attachment, or in a large mixing bowl using a handheld mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the butter and mix for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until well combined.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and continue mixing until fully combined, stopping to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Using a pallet knife, spread your filling onto each crepe layer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Layer your crepes on top of each other to create as many layers as possible.
