{"id":18898,"date":"2023-06-21T07:39:24","date_gmt":"2023-06-21T06:39:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fairwayfoodservice.com\/?post_type=recipe&#038;p=16476"},"modified":"2023-08-23T13:01:42","modified_gmt":"2023-08-23T12:01:42","slug":"sausage-rolls","status":"publish","type":"recipe","link":"https:\/\/insider.thewholesalegroup.co.uk\/recipe\/sausage-rolls\/","title":{"rendered":"Sausage Rolls"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients: Makes 20 small rolls<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:19px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>2 large skinless chicken breasts<\/li><li>3 rashers streaky bacon<\/li><li>1 garlic clove<\/li><li>4 sundried tomatoes, chopped<\/li><li>A handful of basil leaves, roughly chopped<\/li><li>375g of ready-rolled puff pastry<\/li><li>Flour, for dusting<\/li><li>1 egg yolk, beaten<\/li><li>25g sesame seeds for the top&nbsp;<\/li><li>Salt and pepper<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Mince your garlic, then add it to the processor with the chicken breasts and blend until the chicken is minced<\/li><li>Chop in your bacon and add this in, along with the sundried tomatoes and basil. Pulse a couple of times to mix through, then season with salt and pepper<\/li><li>Lightly flour a clean surface then take your pre-made pastry and roll it out, cut in half lengthways<\/li><li>Spread half of the chicken mixture width-ways along the middle of one of the pastry strips, then roll up the pastry, pinching the ends together to seal it<\/li><li>Cut to desired size, 2.5cm for mini ones or 10-15cm for larger ones.<\/li><li>Repeat with the remaining pastry strip<\/li><li>Heat oven to 180C fan<\/li><li>Meanwhile, place the rolls on a large baking sheet and then brush with the egg yolk before sprinkling with sesame seeds<\/li><li>Bake for 20 minutes or until golden<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just like the UK, Australians love sausage rolls, combining meat like beef or Kangaroo and puff pastry for an easy and delicious bar snack.
