{"id":12781,"date":"2022-07-26T07:26:04","date_gmt":"2022-07-26T06:26:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/insider.fairwayfoodservice.com\/?post_type=recipe&#038;p=12781"},"modified":"2023-09-07T18:31:08","modified_gmt":"2023-09-07T17:31:08","slug":"creamy-tomato-baked-gnocchi","status":"publish","type":"recipe","link":"https:\/\/insider.thewholesalegroup.co.uk\/recipe\/creamy-tomato-baked-gnocchi\/","title":{"rendered":"Creamy Tomato Baked Gnocchi"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients:<strong> <\/strong>Serves 4-6<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>450g uncooked potato gnocchi<\/li><li>2 tbsp olive oil<\/li><li>2 cloves garlic, crushed<\/li><li>1 small onion, finely chopped<\/li><li>&nbsp;2 tbsp tomato pur\u00e9e<\/li><li>1 tsp honey (optional)<\/li><li>500 ml of tomato passata or tin of chopped tomatoes<\/li><li>125g of mozzarella<\/li><li>50g full fat greek yoghurt or splash of cream<\/li><li>1\/4 tsp dried oregano<\/li><li>1\/4 tsp dried basil<\/li><li>Salt and pepper to taste<\/li><li>Parmesan cheese for serving<\/li><li>Fresh basil for garnishing<\/li><li>Pasta water &#8211; reserve a cup during cooking for the sauce<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Heat olive oil in a large, deep frying pan on a medium heat.<\/li><li>Add the onion and cook for a few minutes until soft, then add the garlic and cook for a further couple of minutes.<\/li><li>Add the tomato puree, tomato passata and honey, stir to combine.<\/li><li>Add the dried oregano and basil, and season.<\/li><li>Mix through the yoghurt \/ cream.<\/li><li>Set a large pan on a high heat and cook the gnocchi according to instructions &#8211; until they float on top.
